Jon Grande, CEO
Jon spent over 13 years at Microsoft, in a variety of marketing, production, and management roles. Jon was architect of Microsoft’s initial efforts in on-line gaming, founder of the MSN Gaming Zone, executive producer of Microsoft’s first five massively-multiplayer games, and executive producer of four “game of the year” award-winning titles for Windows and Xbox, including Dungeon Siege from Gas Powered Games, and both Jade Empire and Mass Effect from BioWare. Jon joined Sigil Games Online in mid-2005, serving as Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs, where he was responsible for worldwide publishing relationships, strategic planning, as well as new product development. Jon left Sigil Games Online at the close of 2006 to co-found Etherplay with Dan Scherlis.

Dan Scherlis, President

Dan was CEO of massively-multiplayer developer Turbine during its initial five years, serving as producer of Turbine’s Asheron’s Call, which was published by Microsoft. He was then founding Content Director of a new mobile-games venture within telecom giant Comverse. Dan has advised or consulted to online-content and online-community ventures. He proposed and led a new game-publishing initiative for Papyrus Design Group, where Dan produced IndyCar Racing. Before joining Turbine, Dan was New Content Director for Ziff/ATT’s Interchange Online Network, and was previously Market Analysis Manager, at HBO. Dan holds AB, AM, and MBA degrees from Harvard University.
